Overwatch 2 Hotfix Nerfs Bastion

Overwatch 2: On September 22, 2023, Blizzard Entertainment released a hotfix for Overwatch 2 that nerfed the DPS hero Bastion. The hotfix removed Bastion’s ability to restore armor when transforming with his Reconfigure ability.

This nerf is significant, as it makes Bastion much less tanky. Previously, Bastion could transform into Sentry or Tank mode and gain 50 armor, which gave him a significant amount of survivability. With the nerf, Bastion will have to be more careful when transforming, as he will be more vulnerable to damage.

The nerf comes as no surprise, as Bastion has been one of the most dominant DPS heroes in Overwatch 2 since its release. His combination of high damage, self-healing, damage reduction, and armor made him very difficult to kill, and he could often solo entire teams.

The nerf is likely to make Bastion less of a must-pick hero in Overwatch 2, but he will still be a viable option. He still has high damage output and the ability to melt tanks, but he will be more vulnerable to counterplay.

What does this mean for Overwatch 2 players?

The nerf to Bastion is good news for Overwatch 2 players, as it will make the game more balanced. Bastion was previously one of the most frustrating heroes to play against, and the nerf will make him less of a menace.

Players who main Bastion will need to adjust their playstyle to account for the nerf. They will need to be more careful when transforming and be more reliant on their teammates for support.

Overall, the nerf to Bastion is a positive change for Overwatch 2. It will make the game more balanced and enjoyable for all players.
