Daniel Vettori: Sunrisers Hyderabad have appointed former New Zealand captain Daniel Vettori as their new head coach, replacing Brian Lara. Vettori, who has also previously coached Royal Challengers Bangalore in the IPL, is currently the assistant coach of the Australia men’s team.
The 43-year-old Vettori is a highly experienced coach with a proven track record in the IPL. He helped RCB reach the playoffs in 2015 and the final in 2016, and he will be looking to bring that success to Sunrisers.
Sunrisers finished last in the IPL in 2023, but they have a strong squad with the likes of Kane Williamson, David Warner, and Rashid Khan. Vettori will be hoping to get the best out of this talented group of players and help them challenge for the title in 2024.

Vettori is known for his calm and composed demeanor, as well as his ability to get the best out of his players. He is also a highly skilled tactician and strategist. Under his leadership, Royal Challengers Bangalore reached the IPL final in 2016 and 2018. He also helped Bangladesh to improve their spin bowling attack, and the team reached the semi-finals of the 2019 World Cup.
