Riyad Mahrez Wanted: Manchester City have been offered £30m for Riyad Mahrez by Saudi Arabian club Al-Ahli. The 32-year-old Algeria international has two years remaining on his contract at the Etihad Stadium, but is reportedly considering a move to the Middle East.

Al-Ahli are prepared to offer Mahrez a lucrative contract worth in the region of £25m per year. The club are looking to strengthen their squad ahead of the new season, and see Mahrez as a marquee signing.

City are not keen to sell Mahrez, but they may be tempted if the offer is high enough. The club have already strengthened their attack this summer with the signings of Erling Haaland and Julian Alvarez, and Mahrez could fall down the pecking order.

Mahrez has been a key player for City since joining the club in 2018. He has scored 63 goals in 189 appearances, and has won three Premier League titles, four League Cups, and the FA Cup.

It remains to be seen whether Mahrez will accept Al-Ahli’s offer. He is said to be happy at City, but the lure of a big-money move to Saudi Arabia could be too much to resist.

Riyad Mahrez Wanted: What does this mean for City?

The offer for Mahrez is a sign that City are not afraid to sell their best players if the price is right. The club have already cashed in on Raheem Sterling and Gabriel Jesus this summer, and they may be willing to let Mahrez go if they receive a similar offer.

Losing Mahrez would be a blow to City, but they have plenty of other attacking options. Haaland and Alvarez are both world-class strikers, and Bernardo Silva can also play on the wing.

Riyad Mahrez Wanted: What does this mean for Mahrez?

The offer from Al-Ahli is a huge opportunity for Mahrez. He would be earning a massive salary in Saudi Arabia, and he would be playing in a league that is growing in popularity.

However, Mahrez would also be moving away from the Premier League, which is the best league in the world. He would also be leaving behind a team that is challenging for trophies every season.

Ultimately, the decision of whether to accept Al-Ahli’s offer is up to Mahrez. He will need to weigh up the financial benefits of a move to Saudi Arabia against the potential loss of playing in the Premier League and competing for trophies.
